About Capt. Sig

Welcome to CGF Guide Service! I’m Captain Tyler Siegmann, a fully licensed and insured guide through the United States Coast Guard, holding an OUPV 6-Pack License with a Great Lakes Endorsement.

I was born and raised in Sanborn, New York, and grew up with a deep appreciation for the outdoors. After graduating from Wheatfield High School, I earned my bachelor's degree from D'Youville College where I also played Division 3 Baseball and Golf.

My love for fishing began at a very young age, casting at local ponds and taking trips to southern tier creeks to fly fish. I started fishing the lower Niagara River at age 16 and in 2019, I purchased my first boat and really started to learn how great of a fishery Western New York is. After years of taking friends and family out on the water, I knew it was time to turn my passion into a profession.

As a USCG-licensed captain, my mission is to provide safe, fun, and memorable fishing experiences for anglers of all skill levels. Whether you're looking to land your first trophy fish or enjoy a relaxing day on the water, I’m here to make it happen.

I look forward to fishing with you soon—see you on the water!
